Wordless Wednesday - Inventory Woes

As much as I love being around all these great books - I don't like counting them. UGH...

What I do like is buying new titles and since it's that time of year and I'm on the subject, what are some of your favorite children's books? Does anyone have a suggestions on what I should purchase this year? If so, I'd love to hear about them.

Anything by Roald Dahl. He rocked my world as a child.

Alice Hoffman's a more recent fave

I've posted my WW contribution here:

Thanks for once again inspiring with your view through the lens. Hope you have a great WW, and hope you drop by my blog!

All the best,

Carmi

Hush Little Alien by Daniel Kirk. It is the best book we have EVER come across for our kids. They LOVE to sing along to it. It is out of print, but you can buy a used copy very cheaply. You will not regret it.

Great WW picture, btw. LOL

I swear I thought of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory BEFORE I saw Carmi's comment! But I'm sticking with it anyhow. Nice picture...great topic.

I invite you to see my WW post for this week.

Good luck with your counting, I don't think I'd like the inventory part either.

I feel your pain. Inventory sucks and drags on forever.

Happy WW!

Happy WW! I've got the same problem, we homeschool too.

I really enjoyed "Cornelia and the audacious escapes of the somerset sisters" probably a 5th grade book, and "Schooled" which has a homeschool character (tho kind of stereotypical from a strange commune...) it's a jr. high level book, but very entertaining.

happy WW!

I'm pretty sure that any book I would recommend is one you've already read.

Stop by Livin' With Me to check out the Blogaholics Anonymous blogroll I have started.

I'm probably not going to come up with anything new to you but I love the Redwall Series by Brian Jacques and I've heard the Beyond the Deep Woods Edge Chronicles are good by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddel

Sorry. The only children's books I remember are Dr Seuss. I am so not young anymore.
