Lewis and Clark - Art/English Activities

Just in time for the bicentennial, Visual Manna has a new book that combines journal entries from this great historical adventure. Students read exciting entries from Lewis and Clark about the great discovery of the grizzly bear and then learn how to draw the bear. Lewis and Clark's discoveries of over one hundred different animals and two hundred and fifty plants are notated and art lessons are provided that go along with these entries.

 Perspecitve is addressed by drawing Fort Mandan. Portrait art is taught while learning to draw Lewis and Clark. Haiku poetry, concrete poetry and other English lessons are included with the art lessons.
